I have some important news for you, and it means a change in the Forum Team and forum management.

Most of you will know that I am one of the older members, and that I have ongoing health problems.  In addition I am now looking after an elderly family member at home.  Consequently I am finding it difficult to devote enough time and energy to FS-UK.  So, I am going to reduce my involvement and take more of a back seat.  We are promoting two members of the Forum Team to become Assistant Managers, and they will look after the day to day issues on the forum.  Those people are BulletBill and this_is_Gav.

My thanks to them and Congratulations!

My role will still be to take overall responsibility for the forum and website, particularly from a strategic and planning aspect, but withdraw from day to day activities.  Patrick will continue to look after the mods, and mod testing.

Our role names will change a little, to help to clarify our responsibilities:

I will become Community Manager - in overall charge of the forum and website, and the Forum Team.
Patrick will be Mod Manager - in charge of mods and the Testing Team.
this_is_Gav and BulletBill will both be Assistant Manager - in charge of the day to day running of the forum.

The remaining members of the Forum Team will continue as before.

Although this feels like a 'goodbye' it's not.  I'll still be around to annoy you all!  I just won't be around so much.  Nevertheless I'd like to say a huge thank you to the members for all the support you have shown over these past few years while we have tried to transform and update the forum.

This is simply fantastic news well done to you both - I’m sure you’re both going to have your work cut out filling the shoes of Yelibam who has done a great job.

Good choices to help take the pressure off Yeli and a big thank you to Yeli for the hard work he has put in to making the forums a more pleasant place.

Thank you Mike and the others who have posted.

Unfortunately some members have seen fit to derail this topic.  Those posts have been removed, as will any other off-topic posts.

I'll repeat my congratulations seeing as my original one was deleted.

It's always good to have responsible people looking after things otherwise the place would probably be covered in bot posts and unnecessary arguments  Cheesy. I'm sure it will be especially important also as FS19 comes around and hopefully the forum gains some new members experiencing the game for the first time.

Well I had a good amount to say but after reading others seem to have already said it.
So I will simply say congrats and after 6yrs of being a member I am happy to see things continuing on into the future.

Over a 1000 mods collected and counting...had to start over for 19 so now 260 mods and counting. And can help test if wanted/needed.

Yelibam, I’ve not been about much for a while but know exactly the demands on time etc that the forum can demand, and it’s hard to step away from these thing sometimes and give the reins to others. Sorry to hear about your health mate hope in general all is ok.

Fav, bullet congrats to you both / or rather thank you for being willing to give the energy and time that these roles can demand from you!!

Rest up Yelibam, knowing you’ve done a great job these years, and best wishes for your family.

Congrats to the new management as well. BB and gav always act fairly and with a level head making them good choices. Best of luck to you as well. Onwards we go Smiley
