I saw a post on FB,  So keep in mind I have no clue if its true or not.  If true it makes sense but also makes me worried if they are just trying to throw that in.   Its not a simple addition and wonder if this is going to be Farm Expert 2017 'episode 2'

"I heard threw a good friend the reason pure farming 17 has no news is because the devs are now adding deform-able terrain to the game . This is why there has not been any news . It makes good sense as cnc has it and giants is try hard to put it in next game ."

The website says "Early 2017" versus the "9/2016" for Farm Expert 2017 and the "2016" for Cattle & Crops.

This is funny. The only game that has been released is FS17. Well, FE too but it is 'mostly negative' on steam.

if you read the description on the main page, the game puts the bar much higher than FS. they talk about irrigation, mechanics management, vegetable and fruits.. the baby coming up is a big baby

MMM ! New trailer coming thursday 4pm CEST Have I missed something? I haven't even got the game? and a new trailer is being released.

Haha only joking Looking forward to the new game trailer to show maybe a lot more, and inspire me this is going to be another good game to purchase, the biggest gripe I have is the rotation of wheels, so be nice to see this clearly fixed on the new trailer otherwise my thoughts will be deeply saddened they not fixed or taken any action on this. Otherwise the game is promising and does have a good amount of good points, just a shame about the small things that always brings a game down. Not dismissing it's not going to be good? just nice to see a trailer that makes you go wow!

Those things are fixable ofcourse. I think this game will be the surprise of the year with the engine it uses. GIANTS home made one is really holding them back in my opinion. Also takes a lot of time to develop a decent one, so why not use a professional one from another party?

Cost? I am sure there are numerous reasons, I am sure Giants have everything sorted. Plus it means they can develop the engine when and how they wish.

It is one of the reasons Farming Simulator games made ao little graphics and physics improvements in all these years.

Developing an engine yourself is a huge cost on itself actually.
